A Trojan that was unleashed in the summer of 1999. Spread as an e-mail attachment, once executed, it causes users to log into an Internet Relay Chat (IRC) channel when they surf the Web. The IRC channel is capable of downloading files and extracting personal data such as passwords and credit card numbers. See Trojan.

PrettyPark (1999/2000)--used Microsoft Outlook to e-mail itself to everyone in the user's address book once every half-hour.
During the first quarter, one of the most frequently blocked viruses was W32/Pretty, a version of the PrettyPark Worm or Trojan Horse virus.
CHV, the new virus appears as a PrettyPark utility attached to email.
