A Trojan that was unleashed in the summer of 1999. Spread as an e-mail attachment, once executed, it causes users to log into an Internet Relay Chat (IRC) channel when they surf the Web. PrettyPark (1999/2000)--used Microsoft Outlook to e-mail itself to everyone in the user's address book once every half-hour. During the first quarter, one of the most frequently blocked viruses was W32/Pretty, a version of the PrettyPark Worm or Trojan Horse virus. CHV, the new virus appears as a PrettyPark utility attached to email. |
