Prevo

Prevo 

a volcano on central Simushir Island (Kuril Islands). Composed of basalts, Prevo Peak has an elevation of 1,360 m. It erupted in the 1760’s and again in the first half of the 19th century. Fumaroles were active in 1914. There are thickets of dwarf stone pine at the foot of the mountain.
