Pridham, Edwin S. (1881–1963) electrical engineer; born in Downers Grove, Ill. He cofounded the Commercial Wireless and Development Co. with Peter Jensen and Richard O'Connor (1911) and with Jensen he codeveloped the first dynamic horn loudspeaker. They named their speaker "Magnavox" and then their company became Magnavox. Pridham was chief engineer and remained with Magnavox throughout his career.
