Prince Gallitzin State Park Location: In northern Cambria County, park can be reached by PA Routes 36 and 53 and US 219. Facilities: 437 class A campsites (many with electricity, @di), 10 modern cabins, group tent camp, showers, flush toilets, laundry, picnic areas, picnic pavilions, snack bar, hiking trails (9 miles), bridle trail, bike trails, snowmobile trails (20 miles), cross-country ski trails (7 miles), swimming beach, boat rentals, boat launch, boat mooring, marina, amphitheater, camp store, playground, scenic vistas. Activities: Camping, hunting, boating (20 HP limit), fishing, swimming, hiking, horseback riding, bicycling, cross-country skiing, ice boating, ice fishing, snowmobiling, environmental education programs. Special Features: Park features 1,600-acre Glendale Lake, which provides 26 miles of shoreline and is home to many species of fish, birds, and animals. Fields in the park are excellent for seeing butterflies.
