Pringle, Henry Fowles (1897–1958) biographer, journalist; born in New York City. A muckraking reporter of the 1920s, he wrote a somewhat deflating Pulitzer Prize biography of Theodore Roosevelt (1931) and an ambitious two-volume biography of William Howard Taft (1939).
