Finally, the Institute also has been involved in a major initiative with the Financial Accounting Standards Board on private company financial reporting. In addition, the AICPA Special Committee on Enhanced Business Reporting established the Public Company EBR Task Force and the Private Company EBR Task Force to research and develop examples of how enhanced business reports may appear. By complying with the financial reporting and governance requirements, a private company can increase the accuracy and improve the timeliness of its information, thereby reducing the time and energy that management sometimes spends in this area. |
