a city in Yugoslavia, in the Socialist Republic of Serbia, in Kosovo Autonomous Region. Located on the Prizrenska Bistrica River, a tributary of the Beli Drin. Population, 46,000 (1974). Prizren is a center for the manufacture of handicrafts, including those for export. Handicrafts include filigree articles of nonferrous metals, engravings, wood carvings, and rugs. The city also has wine-making and silk industries.
