Prokop the Lesser
(Prokop Malý, Prokůpek). Year of birth unknown; died May 30, 1434. Leader in the Hussite revolutionary movement. Prokop is mentioned in historical sources in 1424 as a member of the Horeb Brotherhood and an associate of the priest Ambrož (a close friend of J. Žižka). In 1428 he became the leader (spravce) of the “orphans” (one of the revolutionary Hussite groups). He died in the battle of Lipany. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
