“Proletarians of all Countries, Unite!”
the slogan of the international revolutionary proletariat, a militant call for the working class and working people of all countries to unite under the banner of revolutionary struggle for liberation from social and national oppression; an expression of proletarian internationalism. First proposed by K. Marx and F. Engels, it was affirmed in 1847 as the slogan of the Communist League. This appeal to the proletariat constitutes the closing words of Marx’ and Engels’ Communist Manifesto. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
