PROM(Programmable ROM) A permanent memory chip in which the content is created (programmed) by the customer rather than by the chip manufacturer. It differs from a ROM chip, which is created at the time of manufacture. PROMs are used for storage when their content is not expected to change, but in many applications, they have given way to EPROMs and EEPROMs, which can be reprogrammed. Since they attain so much in their high schools as Prom King and Captain of the Varsity Underwater Basket Weaving team, I am sure your high level of prestige will entice their parents to write you many checks with their second and third mortgages. The residents didn't have a clue that from the time they arrived, 20/30 Club members were searching for a prom king and queen. |
