Pruzhany

 

a city and the administrative center of Pruzhany Raion, Brest Oblast, Byelorussian SSR. It is located on the Mukhavets River (Bug basin), 13 km from the Oranchitsy railroad station on the Brest-Moscow line. Pruzhany has a cannery; a creamery; plants for processing fruit, vegetables, and flax; and a building-materials combine. The city also has a sovkhoz technicum.
