Priluki
a city under oblast jurisdiction, the center of Priluki Raion, Chernigov Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. Located on the Udai River in the Dnieper River basin. Railroad junction of lines to Grebenka, Bakhmach, and Nezhin. Population, 61,500 (1973; 37,000 in 1939; 44,000 in 1959; 57,000 in 1970). Priluki has a plant for the production of construction equipment, an iron foundry, a metalworking plant, a plant producing essential oils, and the Plastmass Plant, as well as a garment factory, a spinning mill, a footwear factory, and a factory for the production of leather goods. There is also food industry, represented by a poultry combine and a fruit-canning plant. The city has a furniture combine. Petroleum is extracted near Priluki. There are technicums for machinebuilding, land reclamations, and the electrification of agriculture. Priluki also has a medical and a pedagogical school, as well as a museum of local lore.
