Pucallpa

Pucallpa 

a city in eastern Peru, in Loreto Department; situated on the left bank of the Ucayali River. Population, 43,000 (1969). A large port, Pucallpa is the terminus of the Lima Pucallpa highway and has an airport. It is a center for the wood-working industry. Oil from the Agua Caliente deposit, south of the city, is refined in Pucallpa.
