Puyallup, city, United StatesPuyallup (py ăl`əp), city (1990 pop. 23,875), Pierce co., W Wash., on the Puyallup River; inc. 1890. It is located in a fertile farm valley noted for its berries and daffodil bulbs. Manufactures include mining machinery, men's clothing, refrigeration equipment, feeds, pallets, store fixtures, millwork, semiconductors, sheet metal, concrete products, prefabricated wooden buildings, processed foods, and wooden doors and cabinets. A state fish hatchery and a Washington State Univ. agricultural experiment station are there.
