Qaqortoq

Qaqortoq (kä`kôrtôk'), formerly Julianehåb (ylyä`nəhôp'), town (1996 pop. 3,176), Qaqortoq dist., SW Greenland. It is a fishing port with canneries. Sheep raising, meatpacking, and sealing are other significant industries.
