Queretaro

Querétaro 

a state in central Mexico. Area, 11,800 sq km. Population, 486,000 (1970). Capital, the city of Querétaro. There is subsistence farming (corn, beans, fruit). Crop production for market is conducted in the Lerma River basin (to supply the capital). Sugarcane crops and sacaton (the rough-fibered type) are raised in the northern part of the state. Also important are the textile, food-processing, and mining industries.

The agreement, signed by Daniel Bickersteth, CEO of Federal Broach and David Goodfellow, president of Star SU, also provides for a JV service center in Queretaro, Mexico.
