A Massachusetts-based organization founded in 1992 that was involved with education, standardization and classification of RAID storage systems. See RAID.

In the days of the RAID Advisory Board, I could point at representatives of large corporations who were sent specifically to slow down and delay standards efforts.
RAID Incorporated(TM) is a member of the RAID Advisory Board, the Fibre Channel Industry Association, the Silicon Graphics Hardware Developer Program, and the SUN Microsystems Developer Program.
FCIA is, likewise, actively involved in interoperability issues and supports its own interoperability working group, but the organization is more promotional in its goals, reminiscent of the RAID Advisory Board and FCIA's two constituent founders: the Fibre Channel Association and the Fibre Channel Loop Community.
