BUSINESS WIRE)--May 8, 1998--Drexler Technology Corporation (NASDAQ:DRXR) has informed Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) that Microsoft's entry into the optical ROM card (OROM) market could probably lead to infringement of five of Drexler's U. In addition, 43 DVD player or DVD ROM card manufacturers have agreed to include Macrovision-capable ICs in 100% of their DVD hardware and 36 digital set-top decoder manufacturers have licensed Macrovision's copy protection technology. These quick and easy upgrades, made possible with a ROM card, are designed to avoid the downtime often associated with return-to-factory upgrades. |
