uk A TRANSPORT company has been fined pounds 15,000 after exposing its workforce to radioactive products.
Amersham plc, which produces radioactive products for use in life sciences research, is authorised by the Environment Agency to discharge low levels of radioactive materials in gas, liquid and solid form.
Without that approval, the company will not be allowed to package and ship large radioactive products in certain packages.
