radix point
The location in a number that separates the integral part from the fractional part. For example, in the decimal system, it is the decimal point.
radix point [′rādĀ·iks ‚pȯint]
(mathematics)
A dot written either on or slightly above the line, used to mark the point at which place values change from positive to negative powers of the radix in a number system; a decimal point is a radix point for radix 10.
