Radojčić, Nikola
Born Aug. 29, 1882, in Kuzmin, near the city of Sremska Mitrovica; died Nov. 12, 1964, in Belgrade. Serbian medieval historian. Member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences (1939). Radojčić studied at the universities of Graz, Vienna, and Zagreb under K. Jireček and M. Murko. In 1906 he defended his doctoral dissertation at the University of Zagreb. From 1908 to 1920 he was a Gymnasium teacher in Sremski Karlovci (Vojvo-dina). Radojčić was an expert member of the Serbian delegation to the Paris Peace Conference of 1919–20. Between 1920 and 1941 he was a professor at the University of Ljubljana. In 1945 he joined the staffs of the Institute of History of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and of other Yugoslav scholarly institutions. Radojčić’s chief works dealt with Byzantine studies, Slavic history and philology, and the history of Serbian culture and the Orthodox Church. WORKSSrpski istoričar J ovan Rajić.
