Rajang

    0.01 sec.
Rajang

(also Rajung, Rejang), a river on the northwestern part of Kalimantan Island, in Sarawak (Malaysia). It is approximately 600 km long and drains an area of approximately 60,000 sq km. Originating on the slopes of the Iran Mountains, it flows primarily over a hilly plain and empties into the South China Sea, forming a swampy delta more than 3,000 sq km in area. The Rajang has a high water level throughout the year. There are rapids in the upper and middle courses. The Rajang is navigable for sea vessels to the city of Sibu.
