Rakhov
a city (since 1958) and administrative center of Rakhov Raion, Transcarpathian Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. Situated on the southern slopes of the Carpathians, at the confluence of the Black and White Tisza (Chernaia and Belaia Tisa) rivers on the Uzhgorod-Ivano-Frankovsk highway. Railroad station. Population, 13,000 (1975). Rakhov has a lumber combine, cardboard and furniture factories, a butter factory, and other enterprises. It also has a tourist center. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
