Ramana

an urban-type settlement in the Azerbaijan SSR, under the jurisdiction of the Lenin raion soviet of Baku. Population, 7,500 (1975). Ramana has an iodine factory and a sovkhoz for the breeding of beef and dairy cattle. Petroleum is extracted in the area. There is a castle dating from the 14th century in Ramana.
