Rampa i Zhizn’
(Footlights and Life), an illustrated weekly theatrical magazine, published in Moscow from April 1909 through October 1918. The editor and publisher was L. G. Munshtein. The precursors of the magazine were Rampa (Footlights) and Rampa i akter (Footlights and the Actor). Rampa i zhizn’ contained extensive information about the theatrical and artistic life of Moscow, St. Petersburg (Petrograd), and provincial cities. A number of magazine supplements were also published, including L. G. Munshtein’s Priests and Priestesses of Art: A Dictionary of Stage Personalities (vols. 1–2, 1910–12), The Moscow Art Theatre: A Historical Sketch of Its Life and Activities (vols. 1–2, 1913–14), F.
