An earlier series of wireless LAN products from Proxim, Inc., San Jose, CA (www.proxim.com). RangeLAN2 used Proxim's OpenAir protocol and provided 1.6 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band. RangeLAN2 cards operated in a Symphony home system. RangeLAN802 were 802.11-compliant products at low speeds. See OpenAir, Symphony, 802.11 and wireless LAN.
