Rasikh, Atilla
(pen name; real name Atilla Kadyrovich Rasulev). Born Sept. 3 (16), 1916, in Troitsk, in what is now Cheliabinsk Oblast. Soviet Tatar writer. In 1938, Rasikh graduated from the Veterinary Institute of Kazan. He fought in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–45. Ra-sikh’s works were first published in 1934. In 1947 the collection War Stories was published. His novel My Friend Mansur (1955; Russian translation, 1973) depicts one of the projects of the first five-year plan. Spring Voices (1963) is a novel about a kolkhoz village, and When Paths Diverge (1965; Russian translation, 1968) is about the lives of scientists. The novels Iamashev (1967) and The Path of Heroes (1972) deal with historical-revolutionary events. Rasikh has been awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor and various medals. WORKSUrlangan khazina.
