Raytown (rā`toun'), city (1990 pop. 30,061), Jackson co., W central Mo., a residential suburb of Kansas City; inc. 1950. It was the first stop on the Santa Fe Trail Santa Fe National Historic Trail (see National Parks and Monuments (table) follows the route of the old trail, with many sites marked or restored.
