This contract will develop highly research-oriented hardware and software approaches in reconfigurable computing based on a novel circuit in which a machine architecture is virtualized and software methodologies are formulated based on the virtual machines. The architecture behind the reconfigurable computing technology uses one or more circuit boards with FPGAs, Field Programmable Gate Arrays, that can be reprogrammed at thousands of times a second.
