| Most grippers incorporate either a reed switch or Hall-effect sensor to detect open, closed, or half-open positions. A rotation sensor instantly shuts down operation when a broken belt is detected, and a magnetic reed switch and a lint door switch prevent operation when the door is open. Then a magnetic reed switch on the full bale indicator arm signals a linear actuator to begin moving the twine tube across the bale. |
