Location: Northwest corner of Tennessee. Facilities: Visitor center, observation towers, trails, boat launch, auto tour route. Activities: Boating, canoeing, fishing, hunting, hiking, educational programs. Special Features: Reelfoot Lake was formed during the winter of 1811-1812 as a result of the most violent series of earthquakes ever recorded in North America. Habitats: 10,428 acres of farmland, moist soil, and forest. Access: Open year round during daylight hours, though some units are closed at various times throughout the year.
