reentry system [rē′en·trē ‚sis·təm]
(computer science)
In character recognition, a system in which the input data to be read are printed by the computer with which the reader is associated.
(ordnance)
That portion of a ballistic missile or spacecraft designed to place one or more reentry vehicles on terminal trajectories so as to arrive at selected targets; penetration aids, spacers, deployment modules, and associated programming, and control and sensing devices are included in the reentry system.
