Reflected light

Light reflected from rough or matte surfaces neutralize the directional nature of the incident beam. Light is reflected from each part in all directions, eliminating bright spots. With semispecular reflection, light reflected from irregular surfaces disperses the reflected beam. With specular reflection, light reflects off a smooth, highly polished surface, which changes the direction of the beam of light without changing its form; the angle of incidence is the same as the angle of reflection.
