Refractalloy
a refractory alloy composed of Ni (20-37 percent), Co (20-30 percent), Cr (18-20 percent), and Fe (14-18 percent). It was developed in the United States, where it is presently available in different varieties doped depending on its use with Mo (3-10 percent), W (4-5 percent), Ti (up to 2.8 percent), C (0.05–0.10 percent), and Al (up to 0.2 percent). These alloys exhibit both strength and ductility at elevated temperatures (higher than 800°C) and are used as structural material for parts in, for example, jet engines and gas turbines.
