Remote DesktopA feature in Windows XP Professional that allows the machine to be run remotely from another Windows machine over any dial-up or LAN TCP/IP connection. Remote Desktop is actually the Windows-based Terminal Server, which uses the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) to exchange only keystrokes and screen changes.
