Reservist Training

    0.01 sec.
Reservist Training

training sessions conducted in the armed forces of the USSR, in accordance with the Law on Universal Military Obligation, in order to improve the combat readiness of reservists. Citizens in the reserve of the armed forces of the USSR—soldiers, sailors, sergeants, officers, generals, and admirals—are periodically called up for reservist training. The Ministry of Defense of the USSR determines the length of training sessions; for the reserve, this is established by category, and for officers, generals, and admirals, by group and specialization. The term that is set follows the schedule in the Law on Universal Military Obligation.
