Reshetnev, Mikhail Fedorovich
Born Nov. 10, 1924, in the village of Barmashevo, Odessa Oblast. Soviet specialist in mechanics. Corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1976). Hero of Socialist Labor (1974). Member of the CPSU since 1951. Reshetnev graduated from the S. Ordzhonikidze Moscow Institute of Aviation in 1950. He became chief designer at a design office in 1959 and was named a professor at the Krasnoiarsk Polytechnic Institute in 1975. His principal works deal with applied mechanics and mechanical engineering. Reshetnev has been awarded three Orders of Lenin, two other orders, and various medals.
