Resist Printing

Resist Printing 

the production of a white or colored design on a textile material. Resist printing is done prior to dyeing. For a white design, the fabric is coated with a resist compound containing chemical substances (for example, wax) that inhibit the coloring of the fabric in the places where the design is drawn. For a colored design, the resist compound includes a dye.
