Revoliutsiia i Tserkov’
(Revolution and the Church), a magazine published in the RSFSR and the USSR between 1919 and 1924 by the People’s Commissariat of Justice. It was the main antireligious periodical of that time. The magazine was founded by P. A. Krasikov (editor in chief) and M. V. Galkin (Gorev). Disseminating the idea of the separation of church and state among the toiling masses, the magazine combated militant clericalism in all faiths and exposed counterrevolutionary agitation by the clergy. Prominent leaders of the Communist Party and the Soviet state wrote for the magazine. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
