rice paper [′rīs ‚pā·pər]
(materials)
A product, not a true paper and not made from rice, but manufactured from the pith of a tree grown in Taiwan; tissue-thin sheets of the pith are peeled away as a cylindrical section of the wood rotates against a knife.
Any of various oriental papers used in block printing.
