In northeastern LA, east of Monroe; organized Mar 11, 1852 from Ouachita, Carroll, Franklin, and Morehouse parishes. Name Origin: Descriptive of the fertile soil.

Pop 2005: 20,526. State rank: 46. Pop change: 2000-20005 -2.20%; 1990-2000 1.70%. Pop 2000: 20,981 (White 60.40%; Black or African American 38.00%; Hispanic or Latino 1.10%; Asian 0.20%; Other 0.80%). Foreign born: 0.50%. Median age: 35.80.

The Company reported that it is abandoning the Claudia's Education Trust 33-1, a 17,000-foot exploratory well on its Winnsboro prospect in Richland Parish, Louisiana.
NASDAQ:CWEI) today announced that it had temporarily abandoned the David Barton #1, an exploratory well in its Winnsboro prospect in Richland Parish, Louisiana targeting the middle and lower Bossier formation at a depth of approximately 14,500 to 17,500 feet.
As previously announced, the East Texas Expansion capacity will extend from Carthage in East Texas to the Perryville area in Richland Parish, Louisiana.
