Río Tercero

a city in Argentina, on the Tercero River (Paraná River basin), in Córdoba Province. Population, 15,000 (1970). Río Tercero is a rapidly developing center of heavy industry. The production of electrolytic zinc and quality steel is facilitated by the availability of low-cost electrical energy provided by a hydroelectric power plant on the Tercero River.
