Rix, Julian Waldbridge (1850–1903) painter; born in Peacham, Vt. His family moved to San Francisco (1855), he worked as a decorative painter, illustrator, and landscape artist, and then moved to Patterson, N.J., and New York City (1889). He is known for his impressionist landscapes, as in Pompton Plains, New Jersey (1898). |
