Robert H. Meyer Memorial State Beach Location: 10 miles west (upcoast) of Malibu on Highway 1. Facilities: Picnic areas, beach, visitor center, restrooms. Activities: Swimming, surfing. Special Features: Beach is made up of three cove or cliff-foot strands known as "pocket beaches" along the west end of the city of Malibu: El Pescador, La Piedra, and El Matador. Parking is on a bluff, and the beaches are accessed by long descending staircases and trails.
