Robins, Margaret Drier

Robins, Margaret Drier (1868–1945) labor activist; born in Brooklyn. The daughter of successful immigrants, she was president of the Women's Trade Union League during its formative years (1907–22), effectively organizing working women, training them for leadership in unions, and winning protective legislation. She and her husband moved to Florida in 1925, where she supported charitable activities and progressive politics.
