The twisted rock strata visible to motorists driving the Antelope Valley Freeway near Lake Palmdale are the work of the San Andreas Fault. Palmer also explains how scientists in this line of research are able to trace Earth's history from the petrified remains of shells and bones scattered through rock strata. Nevada Star drilled three holes in the Fish Lake Complex for the following reasons: First, to confirm previous findings from the International Nickel Company's (INCO) drill holes number 3 and 6 in the Complex; second, to validate the Electromagnetic (EM) and UTEM Electromagnetic conductors and the effectiveness of this method for identifying mineralized anomalies in the area; and third, to better understand the structure and rock strata of the Fish Lake Complex. |
