Location: In Allegany County, 6 miles east of Cumberland on I-68, exit 50.
Facilities: 278 improved campsites (30 with electric hookups; some sites @di), bathhouses, family group campsite with mini-cabin, 3 youth group camping areas, 10 mini-cabins, 3-bedroom chalet, picnic area and shelters (é), hiking trails, swimming beaches, fishing piers (é), boat ramp, boat rentals (canoes, kayaks, rowboats, paddle boats), amphitheater (@di; available for rental), camp store, food concessions, game room, nature center, aviary; also located at the park is a 220-room lodge with meeting rooms, full-service restaurant and lounge, private dining room, fitness room, swimming pool, tennis and volleyball courts, gazebo dock, and18-hole golf course.
Activities: Camping, boating (electric motors only), flatwater canoeing, freshwater fishing, swimming, hiking, hunting, interpretive programs.
Special Features: Park is surrounded by rugged mountains and features 243-acre Lake Habeeb, where boating is permitted 24 hours a day. The lake is fed by Rocky Gap Run, which winds through a mile-long gorge with sheer cliffs, overlooks, and a hemlock forest dense with rhododendron. The Rocky Gap Lodge and Golf Resort is situated in the heart of the park.
