Rodenticides are pesticides used in urban, suburban, and rural areas to control rodents.
Newer rodenticides have been developed to work with by reducing the sperm count in males to deprive them of the ability to procreate rather than to kill rodents outright.
Anticoagulant rodenticides do not produce signs of poisoning for several days after the toxic dose has been consumed.
