Rogava, Antimoz Mikhailovich 

Born Dec. 30, 1910 (Jan. 12, 1911), in the village of Kuliskari, now the village of Ordzhonikidze, Zugdidi Raion, Georgian SSR. Kolkhoz production innovator. Hero of Socialist Labor (1948, 1951). Member of the CPSU since 1939.

From 1938 to 1951, Rogava was chairman of the V. I. Lenin Kolkhoz of Zugdidi Raion; he resumed this position in 1968. The kolkhoz has achieved high yields under his direction: in 1947, 57.9 quintals of tea leaves per hectare were harvested on 78 hectares; in 1950, 61.4 quintals per hectare were harvested on 155.1 hectares; and in 1971, 69.2 quintals per hectare were harvested on 154.5 hectares. From 1952 until 1960, Rogava was chairman of the Sakartvelo Kolkhoz of Zugdidi Raion, and from 1961 to 1968 he was director of the Khetsera Tea Sovkhoz.

Rogava has been a deputy to three convocations of the Supreme Soviet of the Georgian SSR. He has been awarded four Orders of Lenin, the Order of the October Revolution, two other orders, various medals, and the gold and silver medals of the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition and the Exhibition of the Achievements of the National Economy of the USSR.
