Roseburg, city (1990 pop. 17,032), seat of Douglas co., SW Oreg.; inc. 1872. It has an important lumbering industry and handles the diversified produce of nearby cattle ranches and fruit orchards. Other local industries produce soft drinks, uniforms, lumber, veneer, asphalt, electronic connectors, dairy products, and wine.
